Vision 2016
Strong Roots . . . New G.R.O.W.T.H.
Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. Colossians 2:7
Dear Macedonians,
What an awesome time to serve God and be a part of this great congregation. For more than 130 years the hand of God has been on this church. We would be remised if we didn’t pause to acknowledge the work and sacrifice of those who came before us. We are here today because of them. We have a rich history that created a firm foundation on which to stand. As we begin a new journey as pastor and people I want to honor the legacy of this great church. With that in mind our theme for 2016 will be Strong roots . . . New G.R.O.W.T.H.
As I prayed and sought insight from God and gathered information from the members and leaders I believe God has confirmed our focus for 2016. Our vision will include Giving, Re-Focus, Outreach, Worship, Teaching and Honor. Within these six areas we will growth closer to God and each other.
Some wonderful things we have in store this year are our Annual and Homecoming (Family Conference) Revivals, Ash Wednesday Worship, Lenten Fast, Good Friday (7 Last Words) Service, Vacation Bible School, Music and Arts Conference and Leadership Summit. We will launch new classes during our Sunday School and Bible Study to meet the needs of our membership. Leaders are needed to help launch our Singles and Married Couples Ministries.
As you can see there is much work to be done and it will take an all hands on deck approach to get it done. One thing I know is that Macedonia is a working church. We will continue to work together so that God will be glorified. We are reminded that if we lift Jesus up he will draw all men unto Himself. Will you help us lift Jesus?
In closing, let us pray for unity and clarity as we seek to please God alone. The work is great and the harvest is plentiful but with God we can do all things! Let us find where God is working and let us join Him in His work.
Because the mandate is great,
